
After voice studies in Nîmes (South of France) and a Master’s degree in International Business, French tenor Sébastien Guèze entered at the Paris National Conservatory, from which he graduated with “Jury Congratulations.” He is the recipient of several honors and awards : First Prize winner at the European of Arles Competition, “Revelation Opera singer” by the French Association of Artists (ADAMI), Second Prize and Audience Prize at Placido Domingo’s Operalia Contest.
His first Rodolfo/LA BOHEME at the Athens Opera opened him the doors to an international career, a part he then performed in about 16 productions from La Fenice in Venice to La Monnaie in Brussels through Geneva, Helsinki, Cologne, Austin, Manchester Opera North, Bordeaux and Liège. He then performed Alfredo/LA TRAVIATA at the Semperoper in Dresden, at the Wielki Theater in Warsaw or at La Monnaie in Brussels ; Romeo/ROMEO ET JULIETTE in Hong-Kong, Amsterdam, Miami and Mexico ; Hoffmann HOFFMANN’s TALES in Essen, Dresden, Bonn, Freiburg and Wiesbaden (Germany) ; Nemorino/L’ELISIR D’AMORE in São Paulo ; Duca/RIGOLETTO in Guadalajara (Mexico) and in Mantova opposite to Placido Domingo ; the title-role of FAUST in Toulon, Reims, Pamplona ; Chevalier Des Grieux in Massenet’s MANON in Marseille ; Pinkerton/MADAMA BUTTERFLY in Avignon ; the title role of PELLÉAS ET MÉLISANDE at the Nice Opera ; Lensky/EUGENE ONEGUINE in Paris ; Nadir LES PECHEURS DE PERLES at the Opéra National du Rhin in Strasbourg ; Le Chevalier de la Force/DIALOGUES DES CARMELITES at the Lyon National Opera.
Sebastien Guèze also performed at the Arena of Orange "Chorégies Festival", in Paris Salle Pleyel, at the Radio-France Auditorium, at the Spoleto Festival, Oji Hall in Tokyo and at the Saint-Petersburg Philharmonie among others.
